Albert Púčik, Anton Tunega and Eduard Tesár were arrested by Secret State Police in the beginning of 1949. In this political trial 62 people were accused of whom 48 received long-year sentences. The prosecutor put forth an appeal and the Highest court toughened the sentences. The verdict for the three young men was not a life sentence but a death sentence. They were executed on the 20th February 1951 in the early morning, and buried on the next day on the outskirts of Martin cemetery in Bratislava.
