As a student he underwent harsh interrogations for political reasons, and spent his sentence in a juvenile institute. He took part in activities against the regime. Together with his friends they shared democratic ideas by way of prints and tried to create different obstacles against establishing JRDs. The group was infiltrated by agents of the Secret State Police and detainment, interrogation and political trial soon followed.
