Exposition: 40 years of samizdat periodical „Náboženstvo a Súčasnosť

The exposition will be available from 6-12 June in Quo Vadis house in Bratislava.

„Náboženstvo a súčasnosť “is the first samizdat periodical with a country-wide presence. It first started being published in June 1982. It brought forwards uncensored information about what was happening in society and the Church. It also helped in the fight to achieve freedom in Slovakia. It had one of the biggest circulation. In 1989 it was being published with 1000 prints, with the overall circulation of over 25 000 prints with 593 000 pages.
