Victims of the Occupation of Czechoslovakia Memorial Day

The national council amends Law No. 241/1993 of the Law Codex regarding state holiday, non-working day and memorial days. The purpose of the amendment is to establish two memorial days – 21st August (Victims of 1968 Occupation of Czechoslovakia Day) and 21st June (Leaving of the Occupation Forces of the Soviet Army from Czechoslovakia in 1991 Day). These two days distinguish 23 years of occupation of Czecho-Slovakia.
